Why are GPL themes and plugins priced so low?
All WordPress themes and plugins are distributed under the GPL license. Once a product is legally purchased, it can be redistributed.
At WP KIT LAB, your purchase helps us maintain the platform and invest in new products from third-party developers. This shared model allows us to keep prices affordable and pass the savings on to you.
We do not include premium developer support, which is why we can offer high-quality WordPress products at significantly reduced prices.
What if my product doesn’t work? Do you offer refunds?
Since digital products cannot be returned after download, refunds are generally not available.
However, if a product is completely unusable, our team will first attempt to fix the issue. If the problem cannot be resolved, a refund will be issued. Our support team is available 24/7 to help with installation or basic configuration issues.
Are the GPL themes and plugins original?
Yes. All files available on WP KIT LAB are 100% original and licensed under GPL.
We do not modify or tamper with product files. Every theme and plugin is tested before being added to our library, and we also use GPL products on our own website.
Are there any download limits?
Our unlimited yearly plan has no download restrictions.
Monthly and some yearly plans may have daily download limits. Please refer to the membership page on WP KIT LAB for exact details.
How long can I use the downloaded themes and plugins?
There is no time limit on usage. You can use GPL themes and plugins for as long as you like.
Future updates are provided for up to one year from the date of purchase.
Where can I see the latest products and updates?
You can find newly added products and updates on our Changelog page.
We regularly add new items and update existing themes and plugins.
How often are products updated?
We usually add new products and updates on a regular basis.
Please note that updates are not always immediate, and we do not guarantee that every product will always have the latest version available.
Will I receive automatic updates?
No. GPL themes and plugins do not receive automatic updates because license keys are not included.
To update a product, you’ll need to download the latest version from WP KIT LAB and update it manually.
If you require automatic updates, you must purchase the product directly from the original developer.
Do I get support from the original developer or WP KIT LAB?
No. The original developer does not provide support for GPL products, and we do not offer premium support either.
However, we do provide basic assistance with installation and manual updates.
Can I request a new product or an updated version?
Yes. You can submit a request for new products or updated versions.
As long as the product is licensed under GPL, we’ll do our best to add or update it as quickly as possible.
How many websites can I use the same theme or plugin on?
There is no limit.
Because the products are GPL licensed, you can use them on unlimited websites, including personal and client projects.
Fix Error: “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet”
If you encounter this error, it usually means the ZIP file needs to be extracted.
Sometimes, multiple files are packaged inside one ZIP. Simply extract it, locate the installable file (usually named themename.zip), and upload that file instead.
Also, make sure:
- You’re installing a theme under Appearance → Themes
- You’re installing a plugin under Plugins
Note: WordPress only accepts ZIP files for installation.

How to Install or Update WordPress Themes & Plugins
- Purchase and download the ZIP file.
- Some files may need to be extracted before upload.
- For updates, installing the latest version will automatically replace the old one without affecting your settings.
- Go to:
- Appearance → Themes (for themes), or
- Plugins → Add New (for plugins)
- Click Upload, choose the ZIP file, and click Install Now
- Activate once installation is complete.
How to Install Elementor Template Kits
- Download the kit ZIP file (do not unzip it).
- Go to Settings → Permalinks, select Post Name, and save.
- Install and activate the Hello Elementor theme.
- Install and activate the Elementor plugin.
- Enable Flexbox Container in Elementor settings if required.
- Install and activate the Envato Elements plugin.
- Go to Elements → Installed Kits and upload the kit ZIP file.
- Install required plugins and settings when prompted.
Your templates will then be available inside Elementor for customization.
Unable to download after purchasing a membership?
Make sure you’re logged in using the same email address used during purchase.
Once logged in, products will show a zero price. Add them to the cart, complete checkout, and you’ll be able to download them instantly.
